You can find unusual and hard to find items in the latter, so don't discount them if you need a bit of hardware quickly. For all other hardware store needs shopping and just cruising around online is the best. Online, the world can be your hardware store and with such a vast selection, how can you beat the prices and variety? Also, comparing the sizes and colors and materials and properties online of anything you want to buy, is so much easier then sticking your hands into dusty bins on high shelves? You'll spend a lot less money on gas, too. No driving also adds less carbon dioxide to our atmosphere, and this could be a big consideration, especially if you are building or repairing a "green" house. Of course, you may also be building a regular greenhouse in your garden. Both are good.
