Home Inspection -- Don't Let Your Ceiling Fall In!

Home inspections are usually conducted when a purchaser is interested in a home, but before the deal is final. That way a potential buyer can negotiate any repairs with a seller, or drop the deal entirely. Of course, all escrow real estate deals and mortgage requirements etc. are different. Home inspectors are trained so that they can hunt for problems, and their fee is usually paid immediately by a potential buyer. They may have to crawl through a space under your house and poke around in the attic. They should be checking on your roof, your electrical system, your water system, and many other parts of your potential home. Rates may vary amongst different hoe inspectors, also, how large your potential home is and whether it's one or two or more stories. The more house there is to inspect, the more the fee will be. Be sure and ask up front how much it will cost, how long it will take, and what's covered.
