Landscaping -- Curb Appeal under Control

Landscaping can be very formal or not so. Some people love to have a sleek and streamlined look to their garden and this can be done with neatly trimmed lawns and trees and shrubs. A wilder, English country garden look may also be quite popular with some. Then there's the California wildflower type landscaping with drip irrigation and wildflowers and a lot of rocks and sand. This is a semi-desert type of landscaping and quite popular out West, in North America. For the backyard, landscaping around a pool needs to be different from a non-pool area. Don't plant shedding trees so that you have to skim your pool every day. Some shade would be nice but you can build a cabana area. Be careful about chlorinated water sloshing onto the flowerbeds as it can harm plants.
